Kohunlich

コフンリッチ

コフンリッチはキンタナ・ロー州南西部に残る都市で、古典期初期に栄え、また、古典期末期にリオ・ベック様式の建造物まで長く栄えたとみられている。KohunlichとはCohune Ridgeが崩れた名で、この周辺にCohune=巨大な椰子の一種が多く生えていることに由来している。規模の大きな都市だが、最も有名なのは仮面の神殿とよばれる、太陽神のレリーフを連ねた神殿で、保存状態も非常に良い。
